Share reports

Use a report when the reader needs the result, evidence, and limitations without the full research history. The Share menu controls who can open it and gives you the link.

Find a report

Open the thread and choose Summary in the right-side panel. Reports produced by the thread appear in the Reports section, below the current summary and any running work. You can also open Reports from the main navigation to browse reports across threads.

Open the Share menu

Open the report and choose Share in the upper-right corner, then choose an access level. The choice applies immediately. For an organization or public audience, Silico also attempts to copy the new link; use Copy link whenever you need it again.

Share inside your organization

  1. Open the report and choose Share.
  2. Choose Anyone at your organization.
  3. Send the copied link, or choose Copy link.

The organization link opens an authenticated Silico page. Organization members who open the link see the report's current saved work. Later changes remain available through the same organization share.

Organization sharing retains the report's connection to the Lab and follows its current saved state.

  1. Open the report and choose Share.
  2. Choose Anyone with the link.
  3. Wait while Silico prepares the public page.
  4. Open public page from the status sentence to inspect what readers will receive.
  5. Choose Copy link and send that URL.

The public page is a saved version, not the live working copy. It shows the author, publication date, and version, and gives the reader an Open in Silico action.

Publish later changes

You can continue editing without silently changing the page an external reader already saw. When the working report moves ahead, the Share menu says that the public page is one save behind. Choose Update to publish the current report at the same public URL.

Before updating, open the existing public page and confirm which version readers have. Then review the new working copy and publish intentionally.

Take a public report down

Changing a public report to Private or organization access removes the public page and stops its link from working. Silico asks you to confirm because existing recipients will lose access.
